Nothing Says "I Love You" Like the RO-DEO!

There's nothing like celebrating Valentine's Day with the Rodeo clown and a bunch of cowboys. It wasn't the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo but it was a blast nonetheless! Happy Valentine's Day to us!

Birthday Bowling

Happy Birthday Carter, the big 7! {I can't believe I have a SEVEN year old} To celebrate the big day the birthday boy invited several friends and we went bowling. It was a great way to celebrate with rowdy boys. I must say I heard more about bodily functions in those 3 hours than I did in a whole semester of Physiology. They think it's so funny. Although it's not much to boast about I will say that I had the high score... in the first game. The second time around we did funky bowling and embarrassingly enough Jared and I both got beat out by a couple of 6 year olds! It was a lot of fun! After bowling we headed back to our house for pizza, cake & presents.

Carter keeps us laughing and has the most contageous laugh ever. He is extremely bright and keeps us on our toes... I don't know what I'll do in a couple of years when I can't answer his questions anymore. Although he is in 1st grade he does most of his course work with the 2nd graders. His favorites are math and science. For some reason he has an aversion to spelling although he is quite good at it. His favorite books to read are non-fiction books about dinosaurs, bugs, sea life, and spiders. He's a social kid and makes friends fast. He is a huge helper at home (sometimes begrudgingly) and a fabulous big brother. I love it when I walk into a room and see him reading a story to Gage or Camden, it melts my heart every time! He loves sports and has a hard time choosing just one.

Carter, I love you to the moon and back!
Happy Birthday!!

New Sleds

The boys have been eager for any chance they can get to put their new sleds to use and of course we haven't had much snow this year. They were so excited to FINALLY get a chance to go sledding! Carter and Gage had sooo much fun and were so stinkin' cute out there on the hill. Carter was eager to go over the jump time and time again. Gage just wanted to go down the hill over and over and over again. Cam giggled with delight when we took him down. After an hour and a half we had to drag Carter and Gage off the hill. They would have stayed all afternoon in the 20 degree weather... it was cold!! Cam's cheeks were beginning to turn purple which was an indicator to me that it was time to go home for a big mug of hot chocolate!

Cam was really, REALLY mad when we put the snow suit on. He quite literally could not move at all in that thing, poor baby! At least he was warm.

The big ONE!

Our baby is ONE! Weighing in at 25 pounds he is not a little guy (and never was). Since he eats his way through everything and prefers scooting to crawling (you would too if you had to lift that big ol' belly off the floor) we threw him a Very Hungry Caterpillar birthday party. One of my very favorite books! It was such a fun theme for a party. We served an assortment of foods from the book - strawberries, apples, pears, oranges (okay so they were clementines) cheese & salami (and of course some of my favorite appetizers too), had a caterpillar cake and lollipop party favors. So much fun!

"We can hardly believe a year has passed, Our little caterpillar has grown so fast. Join us for some food and fun, Camden Rex is turning ONE!"

The birthday boy with his first taste of cake

He was a little apprehensive at first but thoroughly enjoyed squishing it between his fingers. Once he got a taste there was no going back!

New shoes, woohoo!

Cam is the life of the party, can't you tell! He continues to be such a kick back little man. However has finally discovered the fun of pulling everything out of all of the drawers and cupboards. Loves to fish in the toilet when given the chance (I keep my fingers crossed he doesn't catch anything!) Isn't too keen on crawling but will cruise the furniture. Scooting has been his main mode of transportation although he is finally realizing that crawling is much more efficient. Says Dad all day long... I am convinced he thinks it's my name! (Except in the middle of the night or early morning, then he is definitely calling for his daddy.) Loves to put everything on his head, I'm guessing he's going to be a hat guy. Story time is an all time fave. Loves to growl and roar, especially in church or any other quiet setting. Has the yummiest cheeks EVER and is the cutest little caterpillar in the whole world!

Cam we love you!
