4 months...
Baby Cam is getting BIGGER... he's HEWj. 4 months stats: 17 lbs 12 oz
26.5 inches long
In the 95th percentile for height and weight and 75th for head circumference
Enjoying tummy time more and more.. meaning like 4 minutes instead of 30 seconds
Getting his new hair after ALL his newborn hair fell out... and you can see it... is it going to be brown?? (okay so he is still sporting a baby mullet, I haven't decided if we should shave it or continue to attempt to start a new fad)
Went on his first bike ride and was a champ, even after Gage fell asleep on him
LOVES being outside
Drools all the time -- all over everything (I don't even have to shower anymore)
Laughs a lot
Enjoys hanging out in the jogging stroller for our morning runs
Is a little cuddle bug (and I love love love it!)
Has made it through four months of terrorism from two little boys who will remain nameless. I think he may survive... barely.
Makes all of us smile... lots!

Super Woody to the Rescue...

I love this kid!! The other day he was out in the yard playing in this incredible ensemble. When it was time to head to Costco he insisted on wearing the cape, the boots AND the goggles. {pick your battles} Everyone got a kick out of Gage... and he was soaking in the extra attention. I can't tell you how many people asked him if he could jump over buildings... He looked at them like they were crazy and said NO! I do have to admit that his running up and down the aisles, superman cape flapping behind him, yelling, "Super Woody to the rescue!" was pretty entertaining.

Super Star...
Our little Carter has got some speed behind those short little legs of his. Although he is quite a bit smaller than most of his fellow Kindergarteners he proved he can outrun and outlast them. On Saturday they had a 1 mile race at the Zoo for all of the K-8th graders in the school district. Carter was sooo excited for it. Perhaps it is because he has watched from the sidelines or sat in the jogging stroller for his fair share of races. He was pumped to finally have his race.Quite a few of the kindergarteners had a parent running with them so Jared asked Carter if he wanted him to run with him... um NO! He was so cute when he finished, we were giving him praises and telling him how great he did--I asked him if he walked at all. His response, "I RAN the whole way, I didn't even jog!" He also commented, "I beat a lot of the big kids too Mom!"
Well we stuck around for the awards ceremony. To be honest I didn't think there was a chance that Carter placed, he's one of the smaller kids in his class but it was fun to sit and listen to the middle schools percussion band play. We were all surprised, and so excited, when they announced that Carter got 2nd place for the kindergarteners and called him up to get his trophy... all of us except Gage. The poor boy immediately burst into tears, "Now Carter has TWO trophies and I don't have ANY!!"
It was a lot of fun even if we did get rained on! (I thought for sure they would cancel the race due to the rain, but Jared assured me that they don't cancel runs for a little bit of rain!) Since his soccer game was canceled we were able to enjoy a rainy morning together at the zoo.
While I'd like to say we were making a fashion statement with the striped leggings, really Carter just refused to wear sweatpants because "they are too long and I'll step on them." It was a pretty nasty day so pj pants under the shorts it was! Maybe he'll wear them again next time for good luck!

Happy Birthday to ME!
Since my birthday was Friday and Mother's Day was Sunday, Saturday seemed the perfect day to celebrate right!?!? Well some would say (myself included) that a woman deserves two special days a year, but sometimes it just doesn't work out like that (especially when your husband is a medical intern). We had a ward activity Friday night (the B-day) and Jared had to work Sunday (Happy Mother's Day to me!) so Saturday it was. After a busy Saturday full of activities we unwound to a DeLICioUs steak dinner with grilled asparagus and grilled corn on the cob, YUM! And topped it off with yummy chocolatey vanilla-ey goodness....(a parfait of sorts). My boys spoiled me with presents and flowers and homemade cards (the best!) Thanks for making me feel special boys! And thanks to all those who called, texted, and left birthday wishes on facebook, I feel loved!

Carter was sooo excited about the gag gift that he gave me... an empty tape dispenser and a paperclip. He was laughing his head off, "Mom, I got it out of the garbage!!" We all got a good kick out of his joke (and mostly at how hard he laughed at himself... he was rolling before I even got it out of the wrapping!)

The beautiful flowers and vase that Carter made during his free time at school for my birthday. He is such a thoughtful little boy!

Make a wish! Do I look one year older???

Sister Sister
Natasha came to Brewtown to visit!!!! We were so excited to have her come! I love it when family visits--it keeps me from feeling homesick for AZ. Natasha got to meet Cam and we played and played. From baseball to waterparks to museums and the zoo we were able to show her the sights and have fun checking off some things on our list of to do's before we leave Milwaukee. The Brewers game was an exciting one, they beat the Reds 9-3. I love high scoring baseball games, they keep me entertained. This was Cam's first baseball game... I'm not so sure he's a big fan yet. Carter is finally at an age where he really likes to sit and watch the game. Gage kept himself (and the rest of us) entertained by just being a goof ball... until he got himself stuck in the stadium chairs!
Learning the ins and outs of baseball
We took Tasha and the boys to the Harley Davidson Museum on one of Jared's days off. We hadn't been there and I thought it might be a bit over the top for the boys but they were in motorcycle heaven! There was a scavenger hunt for them to find certain motorcycles throughout the museum and at the end of the museum there were a bunch of hogs to climb all over... everyone's favorite part! It was interesting to learn about the history of Harley Davidson. Their motorcycles used to be used all over, in racing, the police force, by mail carriers, in the military etc. The museum was very well put together with a motorcycle from every year of production including the very first one.
With the 1st Harley Davidson. Check out the Biker in the background... I was so tempted to ask him for a ride on his hog.
Harley Nerds!
(I didn't know Harley Davidson made scooters)

Tough Guy!!
Biker chics
Speedster!
Sportin' the sweet tattoo he got for finishing the scavenger hunt

We have come to love the indoor waterparks here... they take the edge off of the looong winter. At least we can pretend it's summer for a day.

We made it to the Zoo for the first time this Spring and it did not disappoint... I LOVE the Milwaukee Zoo. Most of the animals were back outside from their loooong winter indoors. We took Tasha to see the hippos. She has been afraid of hippos ever since she was a little girl, I think she used to have nightmares about them. This was her first encounter with a real hippo, it was great!
Doesn't she look terrified?
Love ya Tash! It was a great week with lots of playing and lots of laughs. Thanks for coming to visit... don't forget to bring Clint with you next time... per Gage's request!

Mom giving Carter a good luck hug before the big race!
Carter at the starting line with Thomas, one of the kids from his class.
The finish (okay so it was staged, I missed it the first time so we did a reenactment.)

High Fives all around!! Great job Carter, you really are a super star!
