2nd Grade!

Today was Carter's first day of second grade!  I am super excited for him, I have lots of fun memories from 2nd grade and can't wait for him to create his own.  He told me yesterday that it was his last day of freedom, haha.  He's excited to get back to school but he also knows that with that is going to be much less free time.  He's happy to have a couple of friends, Jack and Jack, in his class.  I'm glad I didn't name him Jack : )  It's fun to see him start school in the same place so he already has a bunch of friends and doesn't have to work so hard to meet people like he's had to do in the past.  I'm a little bit sad to have him gone all day, he is such a big helper and he's great company to boot, he makes me laugh and smile all day.  Have fun big guy, I hope it's a great year!

Carter lost his two front teeth last week and I LOVE his toothless grin!  I hope the new ones coming in aren't duplicates of the snaggle tooth his mom was (cringe...thank goodness for braces!!) He tried so hard to hang on to them so he could lose them at school (apparently that's the cool thing to do) but they wouldn't stay in there any longer.  The first one fell out while he was wiggling it and the second was barely hanging in there it was pretty rediculous.  It fell out while blowing a zurber, funny kid!  Love you and your toothless grin!!
